Heaven help us.
Well, yet another completely useless waste of time, IN ADDITION to all the other wastes of time I have created.
Good afternoon, everone, and welcome to the Tremendously Exciting Compilation of Tales of the "I Am A Moron" Project. My name is Terry (as you see from the sidebar) and this blog is the result of my having bought a 1986 Volvo to play with and drive around in while making sputtering sounds with my lips.
ALL OF THIS STARTED over on my other blog, Possumblog, quite possibly one of the world's top fifteen finest weblogs ever written by a marsupial, and it is chronicled in overwhelming detail there. The post that started it all is this one, although, as you will read, my dementia actually started out with a focus on various slow, old, Diesel-powered Mercedes-Benzes.
You can read various other posts about the intervening days and the decision to switch to a svelte Swede if you scan through the "Various Obsessions" category. I will be reposting these as I get the urge, but for now, this blog will be a place where I can keep up with my Volvo links and other mundane blurbs about the process of fixing the thing up, and keeping it fixed up.
For now, meet the reason for Revolvoblog--
The links over on the side are of sites I have visited and found useful, but obviously, all the caveats about emptors and not running with scissors apply, especially when it comes to things like making repairs yourself. They aren't in any particular order, either, so no endorsement is made of one place over another.
ANYway, here we go.

Is this blog going to have pictures to tall slim blonde ladies? Or maybe snacks?
All in good time--just be patient.
Are you going to allow people with real cars to post here?
Absolutely! People can even try to give away a free Mercedes if they want!
I have a wonderment 'bout something.
...have a wife and four kids, several other blogs...
Several other blogs? Who else are you?
You're not Velociman or Acidman or Glenn Reynolds are you?
Larry give that thing a price. People don’t trust free.
Might be something the matter with free but a bargain now that’s a different animal.
Jim,
I had it sold to a friend for $500 but unfortunately he regained his senses before I could move it out the door. I am thinking of selling it on EBay as parts. I have my eye on this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1977-Morris-Mini-RUST-FREE-Mini_W0QQitemZ4565758147QQcategoryZ107007QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Now if I can only catch Lee looking the other way.
Dain, just follow the link to Possumblog and you'll see that although I'm not one of those guys, they ARE part of the show.
I have to admit I am wondering as well: What other blogs are we talking about? Is Terry posting under some other identity? Could he really be Bill Gates trying to gain control of the blogging world? Does he REALLY live on the Pinchgut?
So many questions, so little time.
Well, there's Possumblog, and I might decide to post on The Proboscis if I get energetic, and some other top secret ones I can't talk about.
Are you gonna keep these Blogger comments or switch to Haloscan?
Oh, and hey, what fun, this dueling blogs. I very nearly did the same thing with the scooter business. Might could still, I suppose.
But that would detract from the puny few folks that visit WE, so maybe its not smart to divide up the visitors.
Kinda like having a stock split and no promise of future growth, which I learned about in my just past Financial Management class!
Yeah, I think I'll keep the Blogger comments--they seem to have worked them out so they actually work right.
Financial Management? What's that?!
It's those secret blogs we want to know about Terry.
If everyone knew, they wouldn't be secret, now, would they?!
Maybe he has a pony and ice cream blog.
Well, close--more like squirrels and sour milk, though.
(By the way, in case anyone really wants to know, I don't have any other secret blogs.)
So you say you have no secret blogs? Not get all Clintonian here but exacatally what do you mean by secret?
I think that would rely on what the definition of "exacatally" is, exacatally.
Finally found the secret party. You & the other cool kids thought you could get away from me, but I found you.
Does this mean I need to check two sites a day? How much free time does it sound like I have? And will we still get Volvo updates on Possumblog?
Why does there have to be change? I can't handle change? Scratch that - it's the truth I can't handle.
OH! Why, DAN! It's ahhh, it's YOU!
Silly man, we weren't hiding from you! Not really.
ANYway, no, you shouldn't have to check here every day, because this won't be a daily sort of obsession, at least not yet. And I will still have a link from Possumblog to important breaking Volvo news.
And don't worry, it's not a change, it's an addition. That's much better--more twaddle for your buck!
Whew! Now I can return to somnolence in peace.
