I do like one commentor's suggestion to tack up a sign on the front of your car that says "Not Xenon," akin to the signs people used to put on their windows saying "No Radio."

Thankfully, I think the Volvo is probably safe from such things--I think I'm much more likely to have the 200,000 mile badge boosted than anything else.
